EGMN LIBRARY LOOKUP — macOS

Batch-match your music library (CSV or JSON: artist, title, year, catalog_no) against the Discogs database.
Runs on your own Mac, so Discogs requests use your own internet connection and your own quota.

BEFORE YOU START
1. Node.js 20 or newer: https://nodejs.org (LTS installer).
2. A free Discogs account and your own Discogs app: discogs.com/settings/developers > "Create an application".
Any name works. Keep the page open: you will paste its Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.

INSTALL
1. Unzip this folder.
2. Right-click Install.command > Open (the first time macOS asks because it was downloaded). Confirm Open.
3. Paste the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret when asked (typing is hidden).
4. Your browser opens Discogs: press Authorize. The Terminal window says "Setup complete".

USE
- Go to https://lookup.gobiernodelamedianoche.com/install and press "Run on this Mac"
(the browser asks once to open EGMN Library Lookup: allow it), or open "EGMN Library Lookup" in Applications.
- The lookup opens at http://127.0.0.1:8765 . Drop in a CSV (up to 50 rows), press Search Discogs, download the results.

PRIVACY
- Your Discogs keys and access token are stored only in your macOS Keychain (service "egmn-discogs-lookup").
- Your files stay on your Mac. Nothing is sent anywhere except the searches to api.discogs.com.

UNINSTALL
Double-click Uninstall.command (right-click > Open the first time). Optionally revoke the app at discogs.com/settings/applications.

This application uses Discogs' API but is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Discogs. 'Discogs' is a trademark of Zink Media, LLC.
